Engleski - Panacea, Grčki - Πανάκεια
In Greece mythology Panacea was the goddess of healing, daughter of Asclepius (god of medicine) and Epigone (goddess of sedation).
She had five sisters and four brothers, who were all in the service of health-prevention, diagnostics, rehabilitation, surgery, etc.
Panacea is a term for a medicine that can heal all illnesses and would extend one’s life to infinity. In alchemy it is related to the elixir of life and the philosophers stone.
Panacea-the buterrfly, is a member of the nimphalidae family.
What is peculiar for these butterflies is that they practically have only four instead of six legs. The first pair of legs has atrophiated into small brushes. By their size they are classified as middle sized to large buterrflies. They inhabit south America.
They spend their nights and mornings in tree tops. As the temperature rises they descend to do banks of streams and rivers where they remain until sunset. When one of the butterflies spots danger, a bird or a human, it positions its wings in a manner that allows their brightly coloured bottom to be seen, thus warning the others of the danger.
